CITY OF GOD!!!
Children made to be men.....carrying weapons to disarm their enemies and to eliminate any threat that comes their way. One of them says 'i smoke weed, i take cocaine and ive killed so what stops me from being a man'.Sad right!!! :(This story was what happened in the city of rio de janeiro, in brazil like 10-15 years ago. There's one thing that hurts me when ever i see it. Children who are made to hustle either due to the laziness of their parents, due to no fault of theirs in situations where the parents are sick and immobile or worse stiil when their parents die. This lead to all sort of vices being exposed to this children in form of alcohol, drugs. Then introduction to robbery, prostitution, terrorism and different means to survive. As a community, what can be done to combat this menace. Help a child. It might be in the smallest of things. Many of us can afford to send a child to a public school at least or give them just enough to feed in a week. You don't need to be bill gates or aliko dangote to help out. That child you neglect might be the one to point a gun at you and *boom*............This thought was rekindled when i watched the movie 'CITY OF GOD'. Its a must watch for everyone. I didn't want the movie to end because i was enjoying every bit of it.I hope you enjoy it.

WHEN REJECTION IS THE ANSWER!!!
In this short life i've spent on earth.....(emmmm how old am i sef), i have been privileged to see what rejection can do to people. Ranging from reduced self esteem to irrational behaviour to anti social behaviour and even to suicide in the very extreme cases.......(i have actually bin close to someone who has contemplated suicide so i know). Before i even get to criticise people, (as the famous saying goes 'remove the log from ur eyes.......you probably know that already), i know the feeling i get when people reject me even if it is nt in the real sense of the word but anytin that comes close to it really saddens me. So in a way i can say i feel their pain. Now what happens when rejection is the answer to that thing or prayer you've always wanted. Some time ago, i was feeling very heavy in my spirit and dint know why but decided to pray in tongues for a while after which an event occurred which on a normal day should leave me dejected and give me that feeling of rejection. I needed approval on a particular matter and i was rejected hands down(........feet up......whatever phrase you can think of to characterise it) but lo and behold i felt so relieved and fine about the whole thing. Now its so easy for some folks to think i used some form of repression to down the whole feeling of rejection and all but sincerely and truly it was not an event that i had to work on or even think about much. There was just this peace that overwhelmed me. I can't explain it but i knew everything was settled. Now to where im actually heading to exactly. Rejection is not always a bad thing. It might be God's plan in setting something better for you, saving you from danger or better still the answer to that prayer you have longed for. I know that feeling of rejection could be saddening at times but i assure you if you put it into the hand of the Jesus Christ and let it go, He will give you that peace that passes all understanding. Trust me on this.I've tried this.
